Nike Football’s most creative minds have been hard at work transforming some of the brand’s most iconic cleats into wearable lifestyle options. Ronaldo’s Mercurial R9 and Ronaldinho’s Tiempo Legend have headlined that effort, both entering the Cryoshot canon in original colorways already entrenched in football lore. Next up is the original Nike Tiempo from 1994, a critical piece of what put Nike’s soccer division on the map.

For the first few decades of Nike’s history, soccer simply wasn’t its thing, the brand outdone in virtually every way by its German competitors in adidas and PUMA. Then 1994 changed everything. With the World Cup landing on American soil for the first time ever, Nike pulled out all the stops, creating the Tiempo Premier by leveraging the expertise of craftsmen in Montebelluna, Italy. The end result was an ultra-premium kangaroo leather boot that left its predecessors in the dust. Of the two 1994 World Cup finalists, Brazil and Italy, nine players wore the Tiempo Premier, instantly lending credibility to Nike Football as a serious force.

The Nike Cryoshot Tiempo 94 takes after the cleat’s original colorway, complete with a black leather foundation, white Swoosh and heel branding, and white spikes encased within a clear TPU frame. Gold branding on the insoles and bottom of the tongue cover ties it all together.

The Nike Cryoshot Tiempo 94 doesn’t have a release date yet, but a Fall 2026 drop for $200 is expected. See official images below and stay tuned for updates.
